We are committed to contributing to the professional integration of young people and thereby strengthen their employability. Always forward-looking, TotalEnergies relies on students, new graduates and young people with limited work experience to stay at the cutting edge of innovation and shake things up. Work-study contracts, internships, overseas voluntary schemes and graduate programs are just some of the ways in which young people can learn and develop their skills within the Company.
Supporting young people through innovative initiatives: the example of the Young Graduate Program
Founded by TotalEnergies in 2014, the Young Graduate Program is an innovative initiative targeting new graduates from more than 30 countries in Africa. The program offers them the chance to enter the job market and increase their employability through experience in TotalEnergies' businesses, such as finance, sales and technology. Since 2014, more than 490 young people have taken this opportunity to improve their employability. The health crisis has slowed the program, but the milestone of 500 young people joining the program was reached at the start of 2022.

Revealing young people's potential: a closer look at L'Industreet and the Production schools
L’Industreet, a free school for young people aged between 18 and 30, is one of the TotalEnergies Corporate Foundation's standout initiatives. Faced with the paradox of high unemployment levels among young people and hiring difficulties in the industrial sector, the L'Industreet model delivers the perfect response to the challenges of providing young people with the skills that they need, including 100% free flexible tuition and an innovative and personalized hands-on approach to teaching.
L'Industreet is located in Stains in the Paris region and currently offers ten courses in five vocational sectors. The campus is aimed primarily at people who are looking for an alternative type of training to help them build their career development plans. Armed with their qualifications after completing the course, young people can enter the job market with an array of technical, professional and soft skills that will enable them to successfully integrate the working world. At the end of their course at L'Industreet, 85% of trainees secure a permanent contract or continue their studies. Since it opened, L'Industreet has welcomed 900 young people aged 18 to 30, including 300 in 2023. Since the beginning of 2024, L'Industreet has also provided accommodation for more than 70 trainees at the Villastreet residence right next to the campus.
As part of its commitment to supporting young people's education and inclusion, the TotalEnergies Foundation also wanted to contribute to the development of the Production schools network in France. The ambition of the French National Federation of Production Schools is to quadruple the number of schools in 10 years to reach 100 by 2028, with the aim of receiving at least 4,000 young people in the 13 regions of France.
